She began her musical journey with a foundation in classical composition.
Over time, her passion for music evolved, and she developed a deep love for jazz.
This newfound interest led her to pursue advanced studies at Berklee College of Music
where she majored in Jazz Composition and minored in Writing for TV and New Media.
During her study, she was awarded first place in the Billy Strayhorn Composition Contest in 2015
and the Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra Composition Competition in 2016 for her original works for jazz orchestra.
After completing her studies, she returned to Korea and established her career in Seoul.
Under the name Wind&Wave, she focuses on creating peaceful and reflective soundscapes, with piano performance at the heart of her work.
Through this project, she explores simple yet evocative musical expressions, balancing personal creativity with a calming sense of harmony.
